Ukrainian qualifier Lesia Tsurenko moved into the second round of the Zhengzhou Open by winning against Russian lucky loser Diana Shnaider 6-4, 6-2 at Zhongyuan Tennis Training Base Management Center.
Tsurenko, ranked No 43, will face Croat Donna Vekic, the No 10 seed, next.
