Zhengzhou Open: Samsonova reaches second round
Liudmila Samsonova defeated Tatjana Maria 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday. She’ll play the winner of the match between Chinese Lin Zhu and German qualifier Laura Siegemund in the next round

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 11 seed, reached the second round of the Zhengzhou Open by beating German Tatjana Maria 6-3, 6-3 at Zhongyuan Tennis Training Base Management Center on Tuesday.
Samsonova, ranked No 16, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Lin Zhu and German qualifier Laura Siegemund next.
