Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina reached the second round of the Zhengzhou Open by beating Australian qualifier Ellen Perez 6-1, 6-3 at Zhongyuan Tennis Training Base Management Center on Monday.
Kalinina, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between No 9 seed Veronika Kudermetova and qualifier Vera Zvonareva next.
