Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana: Zidansek books spot in semi-finals

Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, the No 4 seed, won against Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana on Friday.
Zidansek, ranked No 87, will play Zeynep Sonmez next.
The Slovenian defeated qualifier Michaela Bayerlova (6-0, 6-1) and wildcard Pia Lovric (6-0, 6-0) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Andreeva, ranked No 164, beat lucky loser Andrea Gamiz (3-6, 6-4, 6-3) and Sara Bejlek (6-4, 6-4).
