Francesca Jones beat Andorran Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva 6-3, 6-4 to move into the last four of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana on Friday afternoon.
Jones, ranked No 177, will face the winner of the match between Belarusian wildcard Kristina Dmitruk and Swiss Jil Teichmann next.
Francesca Jones won against Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet, the top seed (6-2, 6-3) and Croat Petra Marcinko (7-5, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Jimenez Kasintseva, ranked No 181, won against Croat Lea Boskovic, the No 7 seed (6-1, 6-3) and Italian Matilde Paoletti (7-5, 6-1).
