Andorran Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva won against Italian Matilde Paoletti 7-5, 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana on Wednesday.
Jimenez Kasintseva, ranked No 181, will face the winner of the match between Francesca Jones and Croat Petra Marcinko next.
The 19-year-old Andorran beat Croat Lea Boskovic, the No 7 seed (6-1, 6-3) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Matilde Paoletti edged out Slovak Veronika Erjavec (6-4, 4-6, 7-5).
