Belarusian wildcard Kristina Dmitruk reached the last eight of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana by winning against No 4 seed Sara Bejlek 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday evening.
Dmitruk, ranked No 496, will play Swiss Jil Teichmann next.
In the previous round, the 20-year-old Belarusian defeated Croat Tena Lukas (6-2, 5-7, 6-2).
Bejlek, ranked No 144, won against Spaniard Leyre Romero Gormaz (7-5, 6-1) in the previous round.
