Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 3 seed, reached the last four of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana by winning against German Ella Seidel, the No 5 seed, 7-6 (8), 6-3 on Friday.
Danilovic, ranked No 110, will play Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the second seed, next.
The Serb beat American qualifier Louisa Chirico (6-3, 6-3) and Austrian qualifier Sinja Kraus (6-2, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Seidel, ranked No 141, defeated Slovenian wildcard Pia Lovric (6-2, 6-1) and Spanish qualifier Angela Fita Boluda (4-6, 6-3, 6-1).
