Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 3 seed, won against Austrian qualifier Sinja Kraus 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana on Wednesday.
Danilovic, ranked No 110, will face German Ella Seidel, the No 5 seed, next.
The Serb defeated American qualifier Louisa Chirico (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Kraus, ranked No 224, won against Croat Lucija Ciric Bagaric (6-4, 6-1).
