Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera, the No 5 seed, won against Romanian Miriam Bulgaru 7-5, 7-5 to move into the final of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana on Saturday afternoon.
Bassols Ribera, ranked No 132, will play Zeynep Sonmez next.
Ahead of her victory, the Spaniard defeated Serb Lola Radivojevic (1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (5)), Greek Sapfo Sakellaridi (6-4, 6-3) and Croat Lucija Ciric Bagaric (6-2, 6-2).
Bulgaru, ranked No 201, beat American qualifier Ashley Lahey (3-6, 6-3, 6-4), Slovenian Kaja Juvan, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-3) and Hungarian Dalma Galfi, the No 3 seed (6-2, 6-3) in the previous rounds.
