Belarusian qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich won against Swiss Belinda Bencic, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 to advance to the last 16 of the Cymbiotika San Diego Open on Monday night.
Sasnovich, ranked No 102, will play American qualifier Emma Navarro next.
