Colombian qualifier Camila Osorio outlasted Pole qualifier Magdalena Frech 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Cymbiotika San Diego Open on Monday night.
The win extends Osorio’s advantage in the pair’s head-to-head to 2-0, with the Columbian winning their only previous encounter in 2022 in Monterry, 6-3, 7-6 (6).
Osorio, ranked No 75, will face No 3 seed Maria Sakkari next.
