WTA rankings: Swiatek continues at No 1 as Collins, Keys move up
Collins re-enters the top 10 while Keys rises to No 12 in the rankings
Poland’s Iga Swiatek continued to reign on top of the WTA rankings heading into Roland-Garros, which kicked off in Paris on Sunday. The Pole began her 105th week as the world No 1 with 11,695 points – a lead of 3,557 points over second-ranked Aryna Sabalenka.
With several of the top women choosing to skip tournaments in the last week prior to the French Open, the only change in this week’s top 10 sees American Danielle Collins rise up two spots to No 10.
The 30-year-old reached the final in Strasbourg and returns to the top 10 for the first time since August 2022. Collins, who has announced that she will retire at the end of the season, was down to No 71 in February this year before going on a winning spree that saw her win Miami and Charleston back-to-back.
Madison Keys, the player who beat Collins in the Strasbourg final, climbs up four spots to No 12, her highest ranking since December 2023.
Below is the top 10 for the week of May 27, 2023:
- 1 Iga Swiatek: 11,695 points
