WTA Indian Wells: Rybakina sets up Andreeva clash in last 16
Rybakina won against Katie Boulter 6-0, 7-5 on Sunday
Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 7 seed, won against No 25 seed Katie Boulter 6-0, 7-5 to reach the last 16 of the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Sunday.
Rybakina, ranked No 7, will play Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 9 seed, next. The pair will be meeting for the third time with their head-to-head locked at 1-1.
Andreeva beat Rybakina in the Dubai semi-finals on her way to claiming her first WTA 1000 Series title last month.
Ahead of her win today, the Kazakh beat Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens (6-3, 6-3).
Boulter, ranked No 38, won against Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-0) in the previous round of the tournament.
