WTA Hobart: Navarro waltzes into quarter-finals

American Emma Navarro, the second seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Hobart International by winning against Pole qualifier Magdalena Frech 6-3, 6-3 at the Hobart ’s Domain Tennis Centre on Wednesday night.
Navarro, ranked No 31, will face Bulgarian lucky loser Viktoriya Tomova next.
The 22-year-old American defeated Frenchwoman Clara Burel (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Hobart tournament.
In the previous round of the Hobart tournament, Frech, ranked No 72, edged out Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo (0-6, 6-1, 6-4).
