WTA Adelaide: Keys beats Ostapenko to reach quarters

American Madison Keys reached the quarter-finals of the WTA Adelaide International by winning against Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 8 seed, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 at the Memorial Drive Tennis Park on Wednesday.
Keys, ranked No 20, will face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Emerson Jones and Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 3 seed, next.
The American defeated Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (6-2, 6-1) ahead of her win today.
In the previous round of the tournament, Ostapenko, ranked No 17, beat Pole Magdalena Frech (4-6, 6-1, 6-1).
