WTA Abu Dhabi Open: Linette beats wildcard Eala to end four-match losing streak
Magda Linette defeated Alexandra Eala 7-6 (4), 6-1 on Tuesday. She’ll play Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 6 seed, in the next round

Pole Magda Linette advanced to the second round of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open by defeating Filipino wildcard Alexandra Eala 7-6 (4), 6-1 at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Tuesday.
Linette, ranked No 55, had lost her previous four matches on the tour and this was her first win since Brisbane in the first week of the season. The Pole will play Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 6 seed, next.
