Sabalenka sprints into last 16 of Western & Southern Open
Aryna Sabalenka got a retirement from Anna Kalinskaya while leading by a set and 4-1 on Wednesday in Cincinnati. Sabalenka is through to face Shelby Rogers.

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the No 6 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Western & Southern Open when Russian qualifier Anna Kalinskaya retired on Thursday night at the Linder Tennis Family Center in Cincinnati.
Sabalenka, ranked No 7, led 6-3, 4-1 when Kalinskaya, ranked No 69, pulled out at the Linder Tennis Family Center in Cincinnati on Thursday night.
The Belarusian will face wildcard Shelby Rogers next.
In the previous round of the Cincy Open, the Russian beat Italian Martina Trevisan (7-6 (2), 7-5).
