Fernandez battles into Cincinnati second round
Leylah Fernandez needed three sets to defat Yue Yuan on Wednesday in Cincinnati. Elena Rybakina is next up for the Canadian.

Canadian Leylah Fernandez defeated China’s Yue Yuan 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Western & Southern Open at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Cincinnati on Wednesday afternoon.
Fernandez, ranked No 27, will play No 4 seed Elena Rybakina next.
