Western & Southern Open: Bouzkova beats Mertens in second round
Marie Bouzkova defeated Elise Mertens 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 on Wednesday night and will play American Jessica Pegula, the No 3 seed, in the next round

Marie Bouzkova won against Belgian Elise Mertens 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 to reach the third round of the Western & Southern Open at the Linder Tennis Family Center in Cincinnati on Wednesday night.
Bouzkova, ranked No 35, will face American Jessica Pegula, the No 3 seed, next.
Marie Bouzkova beat Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (6-2, 6-2) in the previous round of the Cincy Open.
During the 64 of the Cincy Open, Mertens, ranked No 29, defeated American Madison Keys, the No 15 seed (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).
