Lucky loser Bouzas Maneiro advances in Cincinnati
Jessica Bouzas Maneiro capitalized on her lucky-loser spot in Cincinnati by beating Lucia Bronzetti in a third-set tiebreaker on Wednesday. Bronzetti will meet Elina Svitolina in round two.

Spanish lucky loser Jessica Bouzas Maneiro moved into the second round of the Western & Southern Open by edging out Italian Lucia Bronzetti 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (1) at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Cincinnati on Wednesday evening.
Bouzas Maneiro, ranked No 91, will face Ukrainian Elina Svitolina next. Bronzetti had been scheduled to face Victoria Azarenka before the Belarusian withdrew, allowing Bouzas Maneiro entry into the main draw.
