Chinese Yue Yuan, the No 6 seed, edged out Na-Lae Han 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to move into the last 16 of the Veneto Open at the Tennis Club Gaiba on Monday.
Yuan, ranked No 109, will face the winner of the match between Italian wildcard Camilla Rosatello and Su Jeong Jang next.
