American qualifier Alycia Parks moved into the final of the WTA $125K Veneto Open by beating Swiss qualifier Susan Bandecchi 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
Parks, ranked No 148, will play the winner of the match between Italian Sara Errani, the No 4 seed, and American Bernarda Pera, the No 8 seed, next.
The American won against qualifier Elvina Kalieva (7-6 (5), 7-5), Romanian Anca Todoni (6-0, 6-2) and Robin Montgomery (6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Bandecchi, ranked No 322, defeated New Zealander Lulu Sun (6-3, 6-4), Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 7 seed (7-5, 6-4) and Indian lucky loser Ankita Raina (6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3).
