American qualifier Alycia Parks moved into the quarter-finals of the Veneto Open promoted by Regione del Veneto by winning against Romanian Anca Todoni 6-0, 6-2 on Thursday evening.
Parks, ranked No 148, will face American Robin Montgomery next.
The American beat qualifier Elvina Kalieva (7-6 (5), 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Todoni, ranked No 137, won against Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the No 3 seed (6-2, 6-4).
