Veneto Open promoted by Regione del Veneto: Bandecchi moves into last four

Swiss qualifier Susan Bandecchi defeated Indian lucky loser Ankita Raina 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3 to advance to the semi-finals of the Veneto Open promoted by Regione del Veneto on Friday afternoon.
Bandecchi, ranked No 322, will play qualifier Alycia Parks next.
The Swiss won against New Zealander Lulu Sun (6-3, 6-4) and Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 7 seed (7-5, 6-4) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Raina, ranked No 269, won against Dominika Salkova (7-5, 6-3) and Romanian Irina Bara (6-2, 2-6, 6-0).
