Austrian Sinja Kraus defeated Romanian Jaqueline Cristian 7-5, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Veneto Open at the Tennis Club Gaiba on Tuesday.
Kraus, ranked No 171, will face Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 4 seed, next.
