Belgian Alison van Uytvanck, the top seed, beat Swiss Ylena In-Albon 6-4, 6-2 to move into the last four of the Veneto Open Internazionali Confindustria Venezia E Rovigo on Friday.
Van Uytvanck, ranked No 47, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Harmony Tan and Romanian Ana Bogdan next.
The Belgian won against Italian wildcard Cristiana Ferrando (6-4, 6-1) and Ysaline Bonaventure (6-2, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, In-Albon, ranked No 111, defeated Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-2) and Susan Bandecchi (6-3, 6-3).
