Canadian wildcard Cadence Brace advanced to the second round of the Vancouver Open by winning against American Claire Liu, the No 3 seed, 6-3, 6-3 at Hollyburn Country Club on Monday night.
Cadence Brace will play the winner of the match between Australian Astra Sharma and Greek qualifier Valentini Grammatikopoulou next.
