Valencia Open: Li beats Udvardy to reach quarter-finals
Ann Li defeated Panna Udvardy 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday
American qualifier Ann Li beat Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Valencia Open at the Valencia Tennis Club on Wednesday.
Li, ranked No 204, won against Croat qualifier Lea Boskovic (6-3, 6-7 (1), 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the BBVA Open, Udvardy, ranked No 85, won against Spaniard Aliona Bolsova (6-3, 6-2).
