Upper Austria Ladies: Ostapenko reaches semi-finals, defeats struggling qualifier Burrage

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the top seed, reached the last 4 of the Upper Austria Ladies by winning against qualifier Jodie Burrage 6-1, 6-2 at the TipsArena in Linz on Friday evening.
Ostapenko, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Belgian Elise Mertens, the No 4 seed, and Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova next.
The Latvian edged out Dane qualifier Clara Tauson (3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7)) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Linz tournament, Burrage, ranked No 102, defeated Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-0) and Romanian lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian (6-3, 7-6 (5)).
