Qualifier Jodie Burrage won against Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the second round of the Upper Austria Ladies at the TipsArena in Linz.
Burrage, ranked No 102, will face the winner of the match between Romanian lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian and Argentinian Nadia Podoroska next.
