Frenchwoman Clara Burel beat Austrian wildcard Sinja Kraus 6-1, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Upper Austria Ladies at the TipsArena in Linz.
Burel, ranked No 52, will face the winner of the match between Croat Petra Martic, the No 8 seed, and Katerina Siniakova next.
