Second seed Ekaterina Alexandrova reached the semi-finals of the Upper Austria Ladies by winning against No 5 seed Anastasia Potapova 6-2, 7-6 (8) at the TipsArena in Linz on Friday.
Alexandrova, ranked No 21, will face Croat Donna Vekic, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Linz tournament, Ekaterina Alexandrova beat German qualifier Jule Niemeier (6-3, 6-0).
Potapova, ranked No 27, defeated Italian qualifier Sara Errani (6-4, 6-3) and edged out Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto (2-6, 7-6 (9), 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Linz tournament.
