Frenchwoman Diane Parry advanced to the last eight of the Trophée Clarins by winning against Chinese Yue Yuan 6-2, 6-3 at the Lagardère Paris Racing on Wednesday afternoon.
Parry, ranked No 109, will face Czech Linda Noskova, the No 4 seed, next.
The 20-year-old Frenchman edged out wildcard Selena Janicijevic (1-6, 6-2, 6-4) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Yuan, ranked No 120, defeated German Anna-Lena Friedsam, the No 8 seed (6-1, 6-4).
