WTA Toronto: Frech beats Potapova to reach second round
Magdalena Frech won against Anastasia Potapova 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 on Tuesday evening. She’ll play the winner of the match between lucky loser Harriet Dart and Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 14 seed, in the next round
Pole Magdalena Frech advanced to the second round of the WTA National Bank Open in Toronto by winning against Russian Anastasia Potapova 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 at the Aviva Centre on Tuesday.
Frech, ranked No 50, will face the winner of the match between lucky loser Harriet Dart and Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 14 seed, next.
