Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova won against Linda Noskova 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 to move into the last 8 of the Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis Tournament on Thursday night.
Pavlyuchenkova, ranked No 86, will face Ekaterina Alexandrova next.
The Russian defeated Croat Donna Vekic (6-1, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Noskova, ranked No 44, beat Japanese lucky loser Himeno Sakatsume (6-2, 7-5).
