Tokyo Open: Kenin upsets 10th seed Wang to move into second round

American wildcard Sofia Kenin beat Chinese Xinyu Wang, the No 10 seed, 6-1, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Tokyo Open at the Ariake Coliseum on Tuesday.

Kenin, ranked No 155, will face the winner of the match between Japanese wildcard Nao Hibino and Danish lucky loser Clara Tauson next.
