Tokyo Open: Gracheva through to second round

Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva won against Japanese qualifier Mai Hontama 6-1, 7-6 (4) to reach the second round of the Tokyo Open at the Ariake Coliseum on Monday.
Gracheva, ranked No 68, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian lucky loser Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Canadian Leylah Fernandez, the No 8 seed, next.
