Alevtina Ibragimova benefited from the abandonment of Carole Monnet (4-6, 6-4, 4-0) on Tuesday. She’ll play Russian qualifier Alina Charaeva in the next round
Russian qualifier Alevtina Ibragimova moved into the last 16 of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy when Frenchwoman Carole Monnet retired on Tuesday.
Ibragimova, ranked No 335, led 4-6, 6-4, 4-0 when Monnet, ranked No 238, pulled out on Tuesday.
The Russian will play Russian qualifier Alina Charaeva next.
