Russian qualifier Alina Charaeva beat Pole Katarzyna Kawa, the No 8 seed, 6-0, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy on Tuesday.
Charaeva, ranked No 250, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Carole Monnet and Russian qualifier Alevtina Ibragimova next.
