Thoreau Open: Tauson moves into quarter-finals

Dane wildcard Clara Tauson moved into the last eight of the Thoreau Open by defeating Australian Astra Sharma 7-5, 6-2 at Thoreau Tennis club in Concord on Thursday night.
Tauson, ranked No 49, will face American wildcard Coco Vandeweghe next.
The 19-year-old Dane won against Katie Boulter (6-2, 6-3) in the previous round of the Concord Open.
In the previous round of the Concord Open, Sharma, ranked No 200, beat Mexican Renata Zarazua (6-2, 6-3).
