Thailand Open: Zidansek reaches second round

Slovenian Tamara Zidansek defeated Australian qualifier Astra Sharma 6-2, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Thailand Open at the True Arena Hua Hin on Monday.
Zidansek, ranked No 132, will face the winner of the match between Czech Linda Fruhvirtova, the No 8 seed, and American wildcard Bethanie Mattek-Sands next.
