Thailand Open: Maria reaches second round
Tatjana Maria won against Alexandra Eala 6-2, 6-2 on Tuesday and will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska and Japanese Moyuka Uchijima in the next round
German Tatjana Maria, the No 6 seed, moved into the second round of the Thailand Open by winning against Filipino qualifier Alexandra Eala 6-2, 6-2 at the True Arena Hua Hin on Tuesday.
Maria, ranked No 63, will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska and Japanese Moyuka Uchijima next.
