Swede Mirjam Bjorklund won against Thai wildcard Lanlana Tararudee 6-2, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Thailand Open at the True Arena Hua Hin on Monday.
Bjorklund, ranked No 153, will face Chinese Xinyu Wang, the No 7 seed, next.
