Thailand Open: Sramkova through to semi-finals to face Zidansek
Sramkova won against Jana Fett 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the quarter-finals on Friday
Slovak Rebecca Sramkova beat Croat Jana Fett 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 to move into the semi-finals of the Thailand Open on Friday.
Sramkova, ranked No 102, will face Slovenian Tamara Zidansek next.
Ahead of her win today, the Slovak edged out Thai qualifier Mananchaya Sawangkaew (6-2, 2-6, 6-4) and won against Pole Magda Linette, the No 4 seed (7-6 (5), 6-4).
Sramkova, who is now 2-2 in head-to-head against Fett, also reached the final in Monastir last week.
Fett, ranked No 129, defeated Chinese wildcard Saisai Zheng (2-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 8 seed (walkover) in the previous rounds.
