Thailand Open 2: Podoroska beats second seed to reach last eight

Argentinian Nadia Podoroska advanced to the last eight of the Thailand Open 2 by defeating second seed Katerina Siniakova 6-3, 6-3 on Thursday.
Podoroska, ranked No 74, will face the winner of the match between American Katie Volynets, the No 6 seed, and Slovenian Tamara Zidansek next.
The Argentinian won against Russian qualifier Ksenia Laskutova (6-1, 6-0) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Siniakova, ranked No 37, won against Australian Arina Rodionova (7-5, 6-1).
