Dutch qualifier Arianne Hartono moved into the last four of the Thailand Open 2 by defeating Japanese Mai Hontama 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 on Friday afternoon.
Hartono, ranked No 180, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Rebeka Masarova and German Laura Siegemund next.
The Dutchwoman won against Japanese Moyuka Uchijima, the No 7 seed (6-1, 6-1) and Chinese qualifier Xinyu Gao (6-1, 4-6, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Hontama, ranked No 130, beat Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the top seed (7-6 (4), 7-5) and Thai wildcard Lanlana Tararudee (2-6, 6-4, 6-1).
