Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 8 seed, reached the last 16 of the Thailand Open 2 by beating Australian Taylah Preston 6-1, 6-4 on Monday.
Gracheva, ranked No 66, will play the winner of the match between Chinese wildcard Saisai Zheng and Croat Jana Fett next.
