Pole Magda Linette advanced to the second round of the Tennis in the Land by winning against Kazakh Yulia Putintseva 6-4, 6-2 at Cleveland’s iconic Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Flats West Bank on Monday evening.
Linette, ranked No 67, will play the winner of the match between Mexican lucky loser Marcela Zacarias and Romanian Sorana Cirstea next.
