Veronika Kudermetova defeated Nadia Podoroska 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 on Tuesday night and will play Spanish lucky loser Sara Sorribes Tormo in the next round

Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 3 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Tennis in the Land by beating Argentinian qualifier Nadia Podoroska 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 at Cleveland’s iconic Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Flats West Bank on Tuesday night.
Kudermetova, ranked No 16, will play Spanish lucky loser Sara Sorribes Tormo next.
